Some of the sports being introduced- Football, Baseball, Soccer, Volleyball, Lacrosse, Hockey, Basketball. These body positions teach motor control and motor planning, which are especially important for developing children. In attempting various poses, children will learn to control their bodies, and also gain respect for the importance of exercise. Yoga improves flexibility, strength, balance and overall well-being as a child gains confidence in their own abilities. Diana Lomonte, Physical Therapist, has been working with children ages 0-12 for 4 years, with primary focus on preschool-age children.
